Small warning though, be careful when flashing the bios, as you can kill your motherboard if done wrong. Hope this can help someone in the future. The motherboard wasn't supplying enough power to the Gpu allegedly. SOLVED: Flashed the motherboard bios to the most recent version. Computer Type: Desktop GPU: AMD RX 480 8GB, 256-bit CPU: Intel Core I7-4770, 3.4GHz Motherboard: Asrock H8M1-HDS RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR3 1600 MHz PSU: Allied SL-8500 BTX 500 watts, Operating System & Version: Windows 8. Have also tried flicking the bios switch on the gpu, and tried a different gpu slot. AMD RX 480 isnt recognized by computer, display driver wont install.

But since then it has only installed this install manager. Of note, when I first went to install the drivers there was a longer list of things it wanted to install than just the 'AMD install manager', but it got stuck at 2% so I got out of it. My motherboard is a z77a-g45, And I am running on windows 7 64 bit. I've been going round and round in circles trying to get this to work but it's driving me insane, please someone help. I can boot my pc if I unplug the GPU power, but when I try to install the drivers all that installs is the AMD install manager, and this doesn't do a thing.

This doesn't change if I have my screen plugged into my motherboard or the gpu. The fans on the gpu spin like it is working but the whole pc will not do a thing. I have put my new GPU in and plugged in the power but when I try to boot my pc it won't boot if the gpu has power plugged in.

Ok, so I have uninstalled all old gpu drivers using DDU to make sure they are gone. I've been trying to install my rx 480, and so far I've been running into several problems, but I'm not sure if I'm doing things out of order and if I am where I'm going wrong.
